The Mercantile Hotel, part of the renowned Mercantile Group, is currently seeking a professional, friendly, and experienced Full-Time Receptionist to join our team in the heart of Dublin city.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality and customer service to become part of a busy and vibrant hotel environment.
The Role
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience from check-in to departure. The ideal candidate will be organised, personable, and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests and providing a warm, professional service
- Managing check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Handling guest queries, reservations, and phone/email enquiries
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Maintaining high standards of presentation and customer care at all times
- Assisting with administrative duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a hotel reception or hospitality role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and manner
- Experience using hotel booking systems is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
- Fluent English essential
