The Artisan Pizza Company is a pioneering Irish bakery respecting the Italian traditions to create great award-winning pizza bases. We take our inspiration from the depth of knowledge and wisdom of our Italian owner, who has pioneered the cultivation of this unique product. We always do things the right way, not the easy way.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic baker to join our production team. We require someone with excellent planning and organisational skills. They will be working as part of a small team; however, they must be able to work on their own initiative. They will have a proven track record of following recipes, food preparation and hygiene procedures. They must have a passion for excellence in the quality of work that they produce.
Responsibilities
- Preparing dough for pizza bases, using weigh scales and ingredient recipe sheets.
- Controlling dough fermentation.
- Manage all sourdough culture & refresh for production.
- Maintain production schedule
- Complete production records to include the tracking of waste, temperature and quality.
- Maintain hygiene and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within the work area.
- Handle all food items correctly in keeping with HACCP training.
- Cleaning all the equipment
Essential Criteria
- Communication with good English and flexible with work hours
- Preference for candidates with Scratch Mixing experience.
- Passionate about your work and food that you produce.
- Willingness to learn & follow production procedure.
- Team player, with can do attitude
- Able to start early
- Strong work ethic
Job Type: Full Time
Hours: As bakers, we start early. Shift hours likely to start at 2-4am. Own transport preferable as no buses run at this time.
We work Monday to Friday (no weekends!)
