At our C&D Foods site in Edgeworthstown, we are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Shipping Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating daily shipping activities, ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of finished goods, liaising with internal departments and external logistics providers, and maintaining shipping documentation in line with company and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate the site's daily transport requirements for both internal transfers and external customer deliveries.
Create and process sales orders and stock transfer orders using TROPOS.
Arrange transport bookings and issue pre-advice information to customer transport providers.
Process shipment and load details to ensure accurate dispatch and delivery of products.
Liaise with customs clearance agents to obtain customs approval for non-EU shipments and maintain the smooth movement of goods.
Communicate relevant operational information and any changes affecting deliveries, orders or transport schedules to key stakeholders.
Maintain accurate logistics, transport and shipment records.
Monitor transport performance and resolve any issues that may impact service levels.
Produce and distribute daily and weekly operational, management and finance reports.
Support the efficient operation of the dispatch and logistics function through effective administration and coordination
Qualifications
Previous experience in a logistics, dispatch, transport or administration role is desirable
Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Good computer literacy and confidence using business systems.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
