We are looking for a Groundsworker to join our growing team.
Groundsworker
Role/Responsibilities
The role primarily involves the following:
- Supervising, Clearing & levelling a construction site – setting out building perimeter, levelling, driveways, etc
- Marking of trenches for foundations , and assisiting the excavator to dig same
- Install and tie foundation reinforcement, then ensure that concrete is poured and levelled correctly.
- Setting up a site, putting up barriers, safety signs, site fencing, etc.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Interpreting the use of drawings and specifications.
- Relocating existing drainage and pipework systems to comply with planning conditions.
- Operating plant machinery, such as wacker plates, site levels and dumper trucks
- Other ad hoc items that arise from time to time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Good attention to detail – the ability to follow construction drawings a major advantage.
- The ability to follow instructions, work effectively as part of a team, and also on your own intitiative.
- A Full, clean drivers licence is essential.
- Ability to calculate items such as the volume of concrete required, measurements, and to facilitate record keeping of materials used as needed.
- Relevant safety certification (safe pass, abrasive wheels, manual handling) is desireable.
- Flexibilty in start and finish times.

Salary: Salary Scale will be in line with skillset and experience.
