Senior M&E Engineer (Surveying & Building Consultancy)
Are you currently working in M&E design or consultancy, where you are managing projects, producing designs, and seeing them through, but starting to feel like you want something different?
Are you tired of delivering designs that stretch out over months or even years, and want to be closer to the decisions that actually shape buildings and investment outcomes?
If you are an M&E engineer who understands how buildings should work and now wants to influence how they are assessed, improved, and invested in, this role offers a genuine step forward.
This role offers the opportunity to step away from day to day design work and apply your technical knowledge in a more varied, building focused environment.
At FHP, we are growing our Dublin team and are seeking a Senior M&E Engineer, preferably with a mechanical bias, to support the delivery of specialist building services consultancy across commercial property.
This role is primarily focused on technical assessment, surveying, and reporting of MEP systems, complemented by targeted design and advisory work. You will also be involved in BER plus studies, delivering practical upgrade strategies for building owners focused on enhancing asset value, improving building performance, and achieving long term operational savings. These studies include cost and payback analysis, as well as net zero considerations, identifying efficient and feasible energy improvement measures.
Our work involves inspecting existing mechanical and electrical systems across a wide range of buildings and producing clear, concise, client ready reports, typically within one week, that assess:
- The condition of existing M&E plant and services
- Compliance with current standards and regulations
- Recommended remedial works to achieve compliance
- Lifecycle and upgrade considerations
You will play a key role in delivering high quality, client facing outputs that support building surveyors, investors, and asset managers in making informed property decisions.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will gain direct exposure to clients, take ownership of project delivery, and contribute to the continued growth of the business in Ireland.
