- 39-hour working week
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
In addition to the standard working week, you'll be expected to support the installation team 1-2 weekends per month. This typically involves 20-30 hours of overtime between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening, including travel to customer sites.
- Time and a half paid for overtime.
- Double time on Sundays.
- Door-to-door pay when travelling for installation work.
We're working with a leading engineering business that designs and manufactures bespoke industrial automation solutions for customers across a range of manufacturing sectors. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Electrician / Panel Builder to join their workshop team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for building, wiring and testing high-quality electrical control panels used in automated production systems. You'll work from detailed engineering drawings and be part of a team delivering bespoke projects to the highest quality and safety standards.
The Role
As a Panel Builder, you will be responsible for:
- Building and wiring bespoke electrical control panels, MCCs and distribution boards from engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
- Installing and terminating electrical components including PLCs, HMIs, contactors, relays, circuit breakers and variable speed drives.
- Carrying out continuity, insulation resistance and functional testing on completed panels.
- Identifying any drawing or build discrepancies and working closely with the engineering team to resolve them.
- Completing quality documentation and testing records accurately.
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) when required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Working to production schedules while maintaining excellent build quality.
- Assisting with process improvements and supporting junior team members where appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Previous experience building and wiring electrical control panels within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to confidently read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment including multimeters and insulation testers.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
