We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Home Care Personal Assistants to support individuals in living independently and safely within their own homes. As a Home Care Personal Assistant, you will provide person-centred care tailored to each client’s individual needs while promoting dignity, respect, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe moving and handling.
- Support clients with medication reminders in accordance with care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding where required.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping, social activities, and community outings.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation.
- Assist with daily living activities while encouraging independence and choice.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or wellbeing to the Care Coordinator or Clinical Team.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality policies.
- Essential Requirements
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (Care Skills and Care of the Older Person) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the qualification.
Desirable
- Full clean Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Manual Handling and Patient Moving & Handling training.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience supporting older adults or individuals with disabilities.
- Previous experience in home care, healthcare, disability support, or personal assistance is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Garda Vetting (or willingness to undergo vetting).
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Pay: €14.50-€17.50 per hour
