Industrial Office Cleaning Staff
As a member of our Industrial Cleaning team at Enviro FM you will deliver a high-quality cleaning service to create a safe and healthy working environment.

Hours: 40 hours per week (Flexible start/finish times)1. Objective and OverviewThe Industrial Cleaning Operative will deliver high-standard specialized cleaning services across a variety of commercial, industrial, and retail client sites managed by Enviro Facilities Management Ltd. The operative will work independently or as part of a team to maintain client facilities using advanced equipment and safety protocols.
2. Core Technical RequirementsThe successful candidate must independently execute work across three primary service lines:A. High-Reach Window Cleaning
- Reach and Wash Systems: Operate water-fed pole systems up to specialized heights using pure water filtration technology.
- Surface Maintenance: Clean external and internal glass, window frames, sills, and architectural cladding.
- Safety & Setup: Manage water tank systems within service vehicles and handle hose lines safely across public or busy work areas. [1]
B. Commercial Carpet & Floor Cleaning
- Deep Extraction Cleaning: Operate industrial carpet soil extractors, bonnet buffers, and steam cleaning machinery.
- Stain Treatment: Identify fabric types and safely apply correct chemical pre-treatments for targeted stain removal.
- Drying & Resetting: Position air movers to ensure rapid drying times and restore carpet piles post-cleaning.
C. Industrial Powerwashing
- Pressure Washing Systems: Set up and operate high-pressure water blasting equipment on external hard surfaces.
- Surface Restoration: Remove dirt, moss, algae, graffiti, and chewing gum from walkways, car parks, facades, and brickwork.
- Chemical Application: Safely apply and rinse biodegradable detergents and biocides when required.
3. Operational Responsibilities
- Flexible Scheduling: Manage a fluctuating 40-hour weekly schedule with variable start and finish times based on client site accessibility.
- Vehicle & Asset Care: Maintain company-issued vehicles, ensuring all cleaning machinery remains secured, clean, and mechanically sound.
- Chemical Handling: Dilute, store, and transport cleaning chemicals strictly adhering to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and product data sheets.
4. Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Risk Assessments: Review site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) before starting any high-reach or powerwashing task.
- PPE Compliance: Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times, including high-visibility vests, steel-toe boots, safety eyewear, and gloves.
- Exclusion Zones: Set up warning signage and physical barriers to protect client staff and the public from trip hazards (hoses) or falling water.
