Job Description: Security Officer - Permanent Position – Monday to Friday 09:30 - 16:30
We are looking to hire an experienced security officer with a for an immediate start for our client based in Longford town.
Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our client’s staff, ensuring all visitors and employees are welcomed to the location in a positive, professional, courteous and respectful manner.
You will be responsible for the welcoming of visitors to the client’s location, assisting them when necessary and the opening up and closing of the business, all in line with strict security protocols.
You will monitor all activities on the location and respond when necessary to fire / intruder alarms activations and investigate same professionally.
Be a proactive participant with the clients’ employees when required to do so throughout your shift patterns when assigned to the location.

Be proficient, professional, empathetic in the delivery of safety and security services on our behalf and in line with the client’s customer care philosophy.
Be proactive, supportive, and coherent in our company’s health and safety objectives, procedures, policies and protocols.
Open up the facility as per clients’ operational procedures and completing the necessary proactive observations throughout the process.
Follow the day to day operational assignment instructions, completing the necessary tasks, communication procedures, and safety system checks through the assigned shift patterns.
Close up the facility as per clients’ operational procedures and completing the necessary proactive observations throughout the process.
You will at all times be in company uniform and wearing your PSA ID as per PSA guidelines and legislation.
The successful candidate will have:
· Valid Static Guarding PSA Licence
· Excellent written and verbal communications in English
· Excellent interpersonal communications skills in dealing with the public
· Evidence of strong customer service focus experience
· Experience, confidence and the ability to manage and evaluate suspicious circumstances within their working environment throughout their assigned shift pattern
· Evidenced based proven methodical organized approach to work ethic
· Excellent time keeping and flexibility to adopt challenging environments
· Competency in dealing with third party contractors and emergency services
· First aid qualification similar to FPOS / Defibrillator etc
· Evidence of strong customer service focus and teamwork experience
