About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day management of our care centre's physical environment. This role is key to ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility's physical plant, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and life safety systems.

Lead and supervise maintenance, housekeeping, and groundskeeping teams.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all systems and equipment.

Manage contractor and vendor relationships, including repairs, inspections, and waste services.

Coordinate inspections and respond promptly to any issues or deficiencies.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and compliance documentation.

Support emergency preparedness planning and participate in drills.

Assist with facility upgrades, refurbishments, and improvement projects.

Ensure a clean, safe, and dignified living environment for residents.
About You
-
Relevant experience in facilities, maintenance, or a supervisory role (healthcare setting desirable).

Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.

Experience managing staff and external contractors.

Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.

Good understanding of health & safety standards (HIQA knowledge an advantage).

Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused approach.
