About the Role
Care Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Sports & Activity Coordinator to join our team in County Dublin. This role is ideal for someone with a background in sports, fitness, physical education, recreation, or community engagement who enjoys motivating others and creating meaningful experiences.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering engaging activities that promote physical wellbeing, social inclusion, and an active lifestyle for the individuals we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and seasonal activity programmes.
- Organise sports, fitness sessions, recreational activities, and community outings.
- Encourage participation and support individuals of varying abilities.
- Develop creative programmes that promote health, wellbeing, and social interaction.
- Liaise with local community groups, leisure centres, and sports organisations.
- Ensure activities are delivered safely and in line with company policies.
- Maintain activity schedules and records.
- Assist with organising special events and celebrations.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to meet individual support needs.
Requirements
- Qualification in Sports Science, Physical Education, Fitness Instruction, Recreation, or a related field.
- Experience as a Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, Sports Coach, PE Teacher, Recreation Coordinator, or Activity Coordinator is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage people of all abilities.
- Creative, energetic, and proactive approach.
- Full clean driving licence (preferred).
- Garda Vetting will apply.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
