The Cork International Hotel is recruiting for a Conference & Banqueting Porter to join the Conference & Banqueting Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up conference and banqueting rooms according to the function sheets and guest requirements.

Ensure meeting rooms and event spaces are fully prepared and ready for the day's events.

Break down and clean meeting rooms after events, returning equipment and items to the correct storage areas.

Set up and assist with catering equipment, audiovisual (A/V) equipment, and other event materials as required.

Restock and replenish meeting rooms promptly to ensure they remain ready for use.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in all meeting and event areas.

Follow the cleaning schedule to keep rooms tidy and well maintained at all times.

Assist with inventory control and ensure equipment and storage areas remain organised.

Help maintain the general appearance of public areas on the Meeting & Events floor.

Communicate with supervisors and team members throughout the shift to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Liaise with other departments to ensure all guest requirements listed on the function sheets are delivered.

Provide assistance to banquet staff when required.
-
Respond to day-to-day requests from corporate guests using the meeting facilities.
Team & Organisation

Assist with stock taking and equipment organisation.
-
Attend staff meetings when required.

Communicate clearly with guests regarding any changes or additional requirements during meetings or events.

Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors or management to support the smooth running of events.
