The Role: This is a rare and exciting opportunity to build a lifelong career with one of Ireland’s most trusted brands. We are thrilled to announce a brand-new role: Apprentice Printer/Finisher. This position offers the ultimate "earn while you learn" experience - you will gain a formal, highly respected industry qualification over a 2-year period while working hands-on alongside Snap’s expert production team. It is envisaged that this role is an initial 2-year contract with a view to being considered for a full-time role upon successful completion and passing of the apprenticeship qualification.
We are looking for a highly motivated, driven individual who wants a long-term career in the print and marketing solutions industry. This role is best suited to someone who is dynamic, adaptable, and eager to master their trade. You will work closely with our sales, design, and production teams to ensure deadlines are achieved and high attention to detail is maintained at all times.
As you progress through your apprenticeship, you will learn how to ensure jobs are printed and finished to meet exact customer specifications, upholding the premium quality standards that Snap is famous for. You will become a key member of the team, actively encouraged to share suggestions on how to improve processes and reduce operational costs. To round out your skillset, you will also be exposed to additional exciting tasks, including studio work, meeting clients, deliveries and on-site installation activity.
Key Responsibilities:

Learn to read, interpret, and execute work docket instructions accurately.

Learn to Print and finish jobs to the highest quality standard, proactively flagging any potential quality issues in advance with the sales team.

Update job progress in real-time on our MIS (PrintLogic).

Interact with and utilize our CRM system, (OnePage).

Conduct final inspections of work to ensure customers’ specifications are met before delivery.

Pack and ship completed jobs via customer collection, courier, or Snap delivery.

Ensure equipment is carefully maintained and maintenance logs are kept updated.

Quality check, print, and pack parts in line with Snap and customer requirements.

Assist Management with the planning of production and stock/storage management.

Ensure the work area is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.

Assist the wider Production Team during peak demands and undertake additional tasks—such as studio work and installations—as you become trained on them.
