Ballast Signs is currently seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our growing team in Sligo. This is an excellent opportunity for a graphic designer with experience in
Mac-based design software and a background in the signage industry desirable.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with our sales and production teams to develop visual concepts and finished artwork for a wide range of signage projects, including commercial, retail, vehicle branding, and large-format print.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality artwork and design layouts for signage projects
- Work directly with the sales team to interpret client briefs and deliver creative solutions
- Prepare artwork for print and production across multiple formats
- Ensure all designs meet technical specifications and production requirements
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
- Liaise with production and installation teams to ensure accuracy and consistency
Requirements
- Proven experience in graphic design, ideally within the signage or print industry
- Strong proficiency in Mac-based design software (Adobe Creative Suite essential)
- Excellent understanding of print production and large-format artwork setup
- Ability to work from concept through to final production-ready files
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- High level of accuracy, organisation, and time management
- Social media posting
Desirable
- Previous experience in a signage or wide-format print environment
- Knowledge of vinyl, vehicle branding, and installation processes
- Experience working directly with clients or sales teams
