Manager 4 Aces Cash and Carry - Portlaoise
Applications are invited for the position of Manager 4 Aces Cash and Carry Portlaoise.
Key Responsibility
Reporting to the Regional Manager the purpose of this role is to manage the Cash & Carry operation and achieve budget while ensuring the branch operates in a professional, compliant and profitable manner. This will be achieved through the effective management of operational policies & procedures, and the promotion of excellent customer-service standards and positive employee relations, in line with the BWG Compass.
The Role
- Deliver on Customer Service Levels Targets as set out.
- To manage and exceed branch margin and profitability.
- Optimise sales within the branch
- Ensure the effective execution of stock management objectives/policies
- Ensure marketing of the branch is in line with company policy to optimise sales
- Manage Overheads within the Branch
- Effectively manage debtors
- Ensure cash management policies and procedures are maintained in line with Company Policy
- Actively comply and promote company policies in relation to Health and Safety, Security, Medicinal products, and Food Safety
The successful candidate will:
- Have proven experience within Grocery Wholesale and the Licensed Trade
- Demonstrate a strong strategic and operational focus, with excellent management and leadership capability
- Effectively manage and grow existing accounts while identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve company objectives and performance targets
- Be a results‑driven professional with strong planning, organisational, and execution skills
- Operate with high integrity, building and maintaining effective, long‑term business relationships
- Be a confident and credible leader, committed to achieving operational and commercial excellence
- Be a highly motivated self‑starter, capable of taking initiative and working with minimal supervision
