Our services include Layher structures, crowd barrier systems, event overlay, temporary access solutions and site infrastructure. As the business continues to grow, we are seeking an Infrastructure Designer to support the planning, design and delivery of projects nationwide.
The Role
This is a practical design role combining technical drawing, infrastructure planning and stock-based design.
Working closely with project managers, operations and site teams, you will help develop infrastructure solutions that are both practical to build and aligned with available company equipment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in translating project requirements into buildable, efficient designs while maintaining accurate drawing records and as-built documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain AutoCAD drawings for live projects
- Design temporary infrastructure solutions using available company stock
- Assist with Layher structure layouts and design development
- Prepare material schedules and equipment take-offs
- Produce construction and installation drawing packages
- Update and issue as-built drawings following project completion
- Work closely with project managers to optimise designs and minimise cross-hire requirements
- Liaise with site teams to capture design changes and installation amendments
- Support tender submissions and project planning activities
- Maintain drawing registers and document control systems
Essential Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience within construction, scaffolding, temporary works, structural design, architectural technology or similar technical disciplines
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and material schedules
- Ability to develop practical solutions rather than simply draft drawings
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Desirable Experience
- Layher or system scaffold experience
- Temporary works design experience
- Architectural Technology qualification
- Civil Engineering Technician qualification
- Experience producing equipment schedules and stock take-offs
- Event infrastructure experience
- Knowledge of crowd barrier systems and temporary event structures
What We’re Looking For

This role would suit a scaffold designer, temporary works designer, architectural technician, civil engineering technician or similar professional looking to apply their skills within a fast-moving project environment.

Pay: €55,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
