Electrical Project Manager
Our client is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join their growing engineering team based in Kilkenny, delivering complex industrial projects across the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and manufacturing sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-value turnkey projects from initial design through to commissioning and final handover. The role is primarily based in Kilkenny but will require regular travel to client sites across Ireland. The successful candidate will bring strong electrical project delivery experience, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of electrical projects from concept and design through to commissioning and client handover.
Develop and oversee project programmes, budgets, resource plans, and project deliverables.
Coordinate electrical design activities including the review of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Manage the procurement of electrical equipment, switchgear, instrumentation, and associated project materials.
Lead and coordinate electrical contractors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely and on schedule.
Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and final project handover activities.
Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant Irish and European standards, client specifications, and health and safety requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Identify, manage, and report project risks, variations, and commercial opportunities while maintaining project profitability.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a recognised electrical trade qualification with progression into project management.
Minimum 5 years' experience managing electrical projects within industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, food & beverage, or data centre environments.
Proven track record delivering electrical packages from design through to commissioning and handover.
Strong knowledge of Irish and European electrical standards and regulations including ETCI and IEC requirements.
Experience managing electrical contractors, project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
Full clean Irish driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites throughout Ireland.
