Site Supervisor Cork - Role Overview
At JCPS, clear communication and accountability are essential to delivering high-quality projects. The Site Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while leading site teams and representing JCPS professionally.
The responsibilities below outline the core requirements of the role and are not exhaustive. Site Supervisors are expected to support wider business needs and undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all mechanical and plumbing installation works, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Manage and supervise direct employees and subcontractors on site.
- Attend site meetings, project reviews, planning meetings, coordination meetings, and handover meetings as required.
- Complete project close-out activities, including O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, and QA documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures, working closely with the Health & Safety Officer and delivering toolbox talks when required.
- Work from project drawings and BIM models.
- Provide regular updates to the Project and Contracts Manager on progress, site issues, labour requirements, materials, and project reporting.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure works are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Plan labour and materials efficiently, promoting sustainable work practices.
- Lead, motivate, and support site teams to achieve project and company objectives.
- Ensure apprentices receive appropriate training and supervision.
- Monitor site attendance and timekeeping, reporting issues to HR where necessary.
- Support performance management, employee development, and disciplinary processes when required.
- Promote and participate in company initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship in Plumbing or a related discipline.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to take ownership and accountability for site operations and project delivery.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Competent computer skills.

This is a client-facing position, and Site Supervisors are expected to represent JCPS professionally at all times. Failure to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role or to act in the best interests of the company may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.

- Site Supervisor: 2 years (required)
