To work a regular scheduled collection as determined by the Biosystems implementation and Service Controller for the delivery of clean Biosystems containers and collections of full Biosystems containers from disposal rooms / designated collection points.
Store and transport all waste streams correctly in line with waste policy and legislation.
Complete and supply to Supervisor/Manager daily collection sheets for all waste bins collected each day.
Maximise customer satisfaction, development & retention.
Carry out a managed service within hospitals.
Ensure smooth transition post implementation.
Manage stock in serviced hospitals by maintaining a stock inventory and liaising with site for additional requirements.
Ensure carts are prepared with correct type and numbers of bins for each site to be serviced.
Receive and record all containers in a safe and compliant manner.
Ensure that the waste containers are emptied, cleaned thoroughly and readily available in a suitable ‘empty’ storage area ready for collection.
Co-ordinate the paperwork and reception of all deliveries to the plant, including that of suppliers and contractors.
Attend sites and in accordance with a schedule of works, install wall mounted brackets and fixings/holders for the Biosystems containers.
Report any incidents that may cause harm or danger to staff and public in relation overfilling of Biosystems containers and incorrect use, using SRCL Incident Reporting systems.
Ensure that clinical waste Biosystems transporters are correctly tagged, in accordance with SRCL’s Biotrack tagging and also ensure HWCN is completed for collection of full containers.
Report any Biosystems container defects such as broken locks to the Supervisor or Manager.
