As we enter an exciting phase of growth and digital transformation—including a upcoming migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central—we are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process high-volume supplier invoices, and assist in preparation of weekly payment runs.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Issue sales invoices to commercial clients, assist in managing the aged debtors ledger, to ensure healthy cash flow.
- ERP System Transition: Maintain daily transactions efficiently in Sage while actively assisting the team during our upcoming migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations, and credit card matching.
- Taxation & Compliance: Assist in preparing Irish Revenue returns, specifically handling Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) for sub-contractors and standard VAT returns.
- Month-End Support: Assisting with month-end close, journal entries, inventory valuations, and variance analysis.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2+ to 3+ years of experience in an accounts assistant role, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or a stock/inventory-heavy environment.
- Software Skills: Hands-on experience with Sage is essential. Prior exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Navision) is a distinct advantage, though full training will be provided.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for analyzing inventory and financial data.
- Irish Revenue Knowledge: Solid understanding of Irish tax compliance, particularly RCT and manufacturing-related VAT rules.
- Core Competencies: Adaptable mindset, strong attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving during a software transition.
Pay: €27,000.00-€44,046.01 per year
