About the role
The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) is seeking an organised and proactive Awards, Competitions & Events Officer to provide administrative support across its Architecture Awards and Medals programme, architectural design competitions, and a range of professional and public events.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career candidate looking to develop their administration, coordination and communication skills in a busy professional membership organisation.
This is a full-time position based at the RIAI offices in Merrion Square, Dublin 2, with hybrid working (currently 60% office-based) where operationally possible. Some flexibility will be required to support events in Dublin and other locations. Salary scale: €35,000 - €37,000
The role involves coordinating submissions and communications, supporting jury and competition processes, maintaining digital content and records, and providing administrative support for a range of online and in-person events. Responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, venues and suppliers, assisting with event promotion and logistics, and managing post-event materials.
The ideal candidate will have administrative or events experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and confidence using MS Office and digital systems. Experience with databases, event platforms, CMS systems or Canva would be an advantage.
