About the Role
Due to the ongoing expansion of our service, we currently have a permanent contract available in our Northside Living Options support service. This is a day support post, Monday to Friday.
You'll join a highly motivated team of skilled professionals from a variety of backgrounds, including social care, psychology, and mental health — promoting the enablement, establishment, enhancement, maintenance, and defence of valued social roles for the people we support, in line with their will and preference.
The fundamental purpose of this role is to support people in finding meaning and value in their lives, while enjoying a good quality of life. The biological, social, and psychological wellbeing of every person supported is prioritised to enhance overall health and wellbeing.
The ideal practitioner will be open-minded, consistently engage in self-reflection, fully embrace a person-centred ethos, and have the awareness and skillset to support people who experience sensory differences — helping them get the most from life at home and in their community.
You will be an aspirational, imaginative, and proactive practitioner in promoting independent living skills, educational opportunities, employment possibilities, and social and leisure activities. Excellent IT and report writing skills are essential, along with a solid working knowledge of HIQA guidelines, regulations, and standards.
The successful candidate will work an average of 39 rostered hours per week, Monday to Friday.
