Accounts Assistant
As Accounts Assistant you will play a key role in supporting our Finance and Operations teams. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist with all aspects of finance, from invoice processing and reconciliations to month-end reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
The role requires someone with initiative who can work independently but takes direction from their manager in a busy office environment.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform regular bank reconciliations
· Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct general ledger allocation and appropriate approvals
· Post journals, payments & receipts
· Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding invoice and payment queries
· Maintain and update financial records and databases
· Provide support to colleagues as required
· Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation
Skills:
· Experience as an Accounts Assistant / Administrator or in a similar relevant role
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Good organisational and time-management skills
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of technical accounting principles
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
· High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
· Experience with an ERP system (such as Blockmann), particularly in invoicing sub-ledgers and banking, is an advantage
