We are:
St. Catherine’s Association is a non-profit organisation and registered charity funded by the HSE that provides health and social care related supports to children and young adults with moderate to profound intellectual disabilities and autism in the Wicklow area. These services include Respite and Short Break Support Services, Adult Day Services and Residential Services and access to clinical supports through referral to Children’s Disability Network Team.
Job Role:
· Oversee maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance schedules across all sites.
· Manage property leases, site inspections and compliance with building and HIQA regulations.
· Plan and coordinate capital works and refurbishment projects; manage tendering and contractor procurement budget.
· Coordinate statutory compliance for fire safety, environmental health, equipment servicing and statutory inspections.
· Act as Health and Safety Officer for the organisation.
· Draft, implement and monitor health & safety policies and procedures in collaboration with the Head of Quality & Compliance, and Head of Operations.
· Lead site risk assessments, safety audits and corrective action tracking.
· Oversee fleet management, vehicle maintenance schedules and driver compliance.
· Manage transport contracts and ensure safe transport arrangements for individuals supported.
· Procure and manage contractors and suppliers; negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
· Maintain accurate records of service contracts, warranties and compliance certificates.
· Prepare and manage facilities budgets; control costs and report on spend in close collaboration with the Financial Controller and CEO.
· Provide operational support to service managers on estates‑related matters and new site set‑ups.
· Line‑manage maintenance and auxiliary services team.
· Produce regular reports for SMT on estates condition, compliance status and capital project progress.
· Maintain positive relationship management with all stakeholders.
· Represent the organisation at external forums and with statutory bodies.
Essential:
· Level 8 Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Building Services, Facilities Management, Estates Management, Project Management or equivalent experience)
· Relevant qualification in Health and Safety
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a significant management role, managing multi‑site facilities, estates or auxiliary services
· Knowledge of fire safety legislation, building regulations and statutory inspection regimes
· Strong contract and project management skills
· Practical technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance
· Excellent organisational, negotiation and supplier‑management skills
· Ability to prioritise reactive and planned work across multiple sites
· Excellent professional communication skills including strong report‑writing ability
· Excellent IT skills
Desirable:
· Experience managing capital projects and tender processes.
· Experience in Health/Social Care settings
· Experience in Intellectual Disability Sector

Salary: As per HSE Grade VIII pay scale
