About the Role
The company is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Representative to help accelerate the growth of calQrisk.
As the first point of contact for prospective customers, you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities by identifying organisations with governance, risk and compliance challenges, engaging senior decision-makers and creating qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executives.

Key Responsibilities
· Identify, research and prospect organisations within target sectors including financial services, public sector, housing, education and other regulated industries.
· Develop and execute multi-channel outbound campaigns using email, LinkedIn, phone and other sales engagement tools.
· Respond to inbound enquiries, qualifying opportunities against agreed criteria and progressing suitable prospects through the sales pipeline.
· Book high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives and ensure comprehensive handover of customer requirements.
· Research prospective organisations, industry trends and regulatory developments (including DORA, GDPR, operational resilience and third-party risk) to personalise outreach and demonstrate market understanding.
· Build relationships with senior stakeholders including CEOs, Chief Risk Officers, Compliance Directors, Internal Audit leaders and Board members.
· Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring all activity, pipeline stages and customer interactions are up to date.
· Work closely with the Marketing team to follow up campaigns, webinars, events and content-driven leads.
· Achieve agreed KPIs including activity levels, meetings booked, pipeline generated and conversion rates.
· Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development and go-to-market strategy.
Person Specification
Essential
· 1-3 years' experience in a, Sales Development Representative or business development role, preferably within B2B SaaS or technology.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Confident engaging senior decision-makers and executives.
· Self-motivated with a proactive approach to prospecting and lead generation.
· Highly organised with strong time management skills.
· Comfortable working to sales targets and performance metrics.
· Experience using HubSpot or another CRM platform.
· Strong research skills with the ability to understand customer challenges and tailor messaging accordingly.
Desirable
· Experience selling into regulated industries.
· Knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), cybersecurity or enterprise software.
· Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting platforms.
· Experience using AI tools to improve prospecting and outreach.
