Senior Occupational Therapist - Adult Disability
Permanent Contract - 35 hours per week
Location: Kilcullen, Co. Kildare
Senior OT Scale: Point 1 €65,196 to Point 9 €76,767 DOE
We are seeking a permanent Senior Grade Occupational therapist to join Kare's experienced Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Team who support adults with a primary diagnosis of Intellectual Disability. This post is based in Kilcullen, with opportunities for remote working. The successful candidate will be offered continuing professional development and the opportunity to work within an extensive multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities:

Integrate Occupational therapy skills with current Occupational therapy theory and relevant supporting evidence based knowledge.

Select, implement, analyse the outcomes of standardised and non-standardised assessment that identify occupational and functional needs in the area of self-care, productivity and leisure.

Collaborate skilfully with young adults and their families to identify goals.

Apply clinical reasoning to plan, grade, implement and modify interventions that are outcome based and relevant to person's goals.

Facilitate individual assessment, recommendations, reviews, education sessions with parents or other support staff.

Actively promote collaborative working relationships within multidisciplinary and inter-professional teams.
Requirements:

Qualification in Occupational Therapy recognised by CORU
-
Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist

Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including significant experience in adult disability services

Demonstrated experience managing complex clinical cases
-
Evidence of continuing professional development and advanced clinical training
-
Be eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship

Full Clean Licence and access to own vehicle is essential
Desirable
-
Post graduate qualification and experience implementing a sensory approach

Experience of developing and running training for staff/families.

Experience with complex seating assessments.
