Fresh Foods Advisor role - South
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Fresh Foods Advisor to support and inspire our retailers to deliver outstanding fresh food standards across their stores.
This is a field‑based, practical role where you will work directly with retailers and their fresh food teams – helping them grow sales, protect margin, meet food safety standards, and take real pride in their fresh food departments.

What you’ll be doing
As a Fresh Foods Advisor, you will be the go‑to expert for all fresh food categories within your designated area. Your focus will be on supporting retailers to perform at their best through practical advice and hands‑on training.
You will:

Work closely with retailers and their fresh food teams to optimise sales & drive margin.

Deliver ongoing, hands‑on training to raise standards, capability, and confidence in fresh food departments.

Support and lead the implementation of new and exciting fresh ranges and innovation.

Work with fresh food teams to improve displays and presentation to maximise sales in fresh food departments.

Provide practical knowledge on stock management and operational best practices.

Build strong, trusted relationships with retailers, store managers, and fresh food teams to create consistently high‑performing stores.
- Support stores with food safety compliance, improving store standards and EHO interactions.

Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials to support stores.

Collaborate with the wider team, management, and cross‑functional departments where necessary.

Carry out other reasonable duties that support overall business objectives.

You will bring:

Hands‑on experience working on a retail foodservice counter or fresh department (essential)

Previous retail experience

A strong understanding of food safety at retail level would be an advantage

A proactive, hands‑on approach to problem solving

Attention to detail

Clear communication and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and motivate others

The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player

Good organisation and time‑management skills

Ability to use basic IT systems (email, Word, Excel etc.)

A full, clean driving licence (this is a field‑based role)
