We are seeking an experienced HSEQ professional to lead and support Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) activities across multidisciplinary construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the review, preparation and submission of PQQs, tenders and HSEQ documentation for multidisciplinary projects.
Develop high-quality, project-specific responses covering Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and Sustainability requirements.
Review tender and contract documentation to identify key HSEQ requirements, risks, constraints and client expectations.
Work closely with Construction, Engineering and Technical Teams to provide HSEQ input during tender and project development stages.
Attend site visits, pre-tender meetings and project meetings as required.
Provide professional HSEQ advice and guidance to project and operational teams.
Review, develop and maintain company HSEQ policies, procedures, processes and management systems.
Ensure company procedures remain current and compliant with relevant Irish and European legislation, regulations, standards and client requirements.
Monitor changes in Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and communicate relevant updates to the business.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems across projects.
Assist with the development and mentoring of HSEQ staff and other employees.
Support the development and implementation of the company's Sustainability Strategy, procedures and reporting requirements.
Contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives, including monitoring and reporting of relevant performance indicators.
Assist with audits, inspections, investigations and corrective action programmes where required.
Prepare clear and professional HSEQ reports, presentations and supporting documentation.
Promote a strong culture of Health, Safety, Environmental responsibility and Quality throughout the organisation.
Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSEQ performance, systems and project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum third-level qualification (HETAC Level 7 or equivalent) in Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years' relevant professional experience, preferably within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of current Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in preparing and reviewing PQQs, tenders and HSEQ submissions.
Experience working on multidisciplinary projects involving civil, structural and MEICA elements is highly desirable.
Experience in developing and maintaining HSEQ policies, procedures and management systems.
Knowledge and experience of sustainability principles, environmental management and sustainability reporting.
Strong understanding of construction project risks, controls and compliance requirements.
Pay: €45,610.47-€85,493.76 per year
