KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide payroll support to the organisation, liaising with the payroll provider on all changes for the monthly and weekly bank payroll,
To process all starters and leavers ensuring correct details are provided
To collate reports as required and work closely with finance to close off each month
To check and review all payroll changes and to submit in a timely manner
To be the primary liaison person with the payroll provider and to manage the key relationship with the vendor
To manage the timesheet process to ensure all departments submit hours per month
To process all deductions including Pension, Bike to Work, Savings Scheme etc
To ensure compliance with PRSI and PAYE deductions and to assist with process improvement and standardisation of systems
To manage statutory deductions including sick pay, maternity pay, and any other social welfare as required.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To work closely with HR colleagues and to work as part of the Human Resources Team providing professional support to the hospital
To help maintain high standards of employee communication and help drive change through organisation when required
To ensure monthly and bank payrolls are processed in an accurate and timely manager
To be proficient in the TMS system and any other systems required for the role
Work closely with the payroll provider (Intelligo) to pay accurately and on time.
Provide payroll support to the organisation dealing with all pay related queries
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Communicate appropriately with colleagues and other members of the hospital to ensure a quality service is provided to all while constantly striving for excellence in patient/customer care.
Recognise limitations and seek assistance where necessary.
Attend and contribute to appropriate meetings.
Accept constructive advice when appropriate.
Report all incidents immediately, which may adversely affect a patient, colleague or the Blackrock Clinic.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICAIONS AND EXPERIENCE

IPASS or equivalent essential
- At least 4 years' experience in a complex payroll processing position is required

Hospital or healthcare industry experience would be a distinct advantage

Experience of Sage Micropay professional system would be a distinct advantage

Experience in Word & Excel is essential

Highly accurate and fine attention to detail essential

Ability to prioritise workload and work to strict deadlines

Strong Communication skills & ability to take ownership of work and perform to a high standard
