AirconMech, Building Services Engineering Contractors, experts in the design and installation of all building and mechanical services including Heating, Plumbing, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning & Building Management Systems, seek Graduate Mechanical Quantity Surveyors to join their expanding team. The position is a full-time permanent role
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating and measuring works
- Cost monitoring
- Assist in the commercial management of a project
- Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
- Compiling and sending out tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers
- Cost analysis of tender prices
- On-Site valuations and progress reports
- Monthly cost/value reports and management accounts
- Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time
The Candidate:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- You must have the ability to use initiative and be self-motivated
- Have the ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets
- Be commercially aware with good client facing skills
- Ability to work as part of a team is essential
- Good IT skills are required
- High attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and be flexible as required
- Able to promote a positive personal/professional profile
- Role will be primarily office based but will require some travel to sites throughout the country evaluating potential work
