We are looking for Full-time Cleaning Operatives to join our team in Galway City.
Working pattern: Monday to Sunday, approximately 39-47 hours per week
Main duties and responsibilities

Responsible for the overall cleanliness of all the organisation's facilities

Vacuuming, dusting and washing floors and walls
-
Sweeping, floor polishing and waste disposal
-
Wash windows, walls and ceilings
-
Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
-
Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
-
Ensuring the toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies are replenished when required
-
Organise necessary supplies for cleaning toilet facilities
-
Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators
-
General housekeeping and cleaning around the building, including litter control.

Stock supplies area and inform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposes
-
Report and store lost and found items
-
Provide basic information on facilities and handle complaints
-
Undertake other routine tasks such as hosing down forecourts and external areas, pressure washing, weed removal, grass cutting, and other basic grounds maintenance tasks.

Undertake any other duties as requested.
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Previous cleaning experience is desirable

Able to manage own time effectively
-
Able to take instruction and direction and complete tasks to the highest standard

Knowledge of Principles of Chemical Safety

A knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices
-
A knowledge of how to use equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks
-
Able to work autonomously but also to be able to work as part of a team.

A good working knowledge of English.
