EHS Implementation Strategist Manager - GMP Environment - Cork
I'm partnering with a leading client in Cork to recruit an EHS Implementation Strategist Manager who will take ownership of driving Environmental, Health & Safety strategy and implementation on a key site. This is a highly visible, client-facing leadership role for someone with strong experience in GMP-regulated environments and a passion for embedding best-in-class EHS practices. What You'll Do

Lead the development and execution of EHS implementation strategies aligned with client goals and regulatory requirements.

Act as the primary EHS point of contact on-site, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and operational teams.

Drive the standardisation of EHS policies and procedures across multiple sites, ensuring consistency and best practice at a company-wide level.

Drive full compliance with Irish legislation, GMP standards, and ISO frameworks (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).

Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of integrated management systems across all site activities.

Partner with site leadership to embed a proactive, safety-first culture and influence behaviours at all organisational levels.

Support and lead client audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, acting as a key liaison throughout.

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across operations and projects, ensuring safe and compliant delivery.

Develop and deliver targeted EHS training programmes for employees and contractors.

Lead incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis is completed and corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Prepare and present detailed reports, performance metrics, and strategic updates to stakeholders.

Manage contractor EHS compliance, ensuring alignment with both GMP and client-specific standards.
What We're Looking For

Degree (Level 7+) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.

3+ years' experience in an EHS leadership, strategy, or implementation-focused role within a client-facing environment.

Strong experience working in a GMP-regulated industry (pharmaceutical, medical device, or food manufacturing).

In-depth knowledge of Irish EHS legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Proven track record implementing and managing ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 systems.

Experience driving standardisation of policies and procedures across multiple sites or business units is highly desirable.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive behavioural change.

Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting capabilities.

Highly organised with a strategic mindset and strong problem-solving ability.

Full clean driving licence as required for site access and travel to EU locations.
