Main purpose of job:
Working within the Strategic Projects function for PCI Pharma Services (Ireland Sites) the Programme Manager will be primarily responsible for managing a large-scale programme consisting of several projects, each with varying complexity. A natural leader, the Programme Manager will display interpersonal and communication skills that build the strongest of relationships at site, global and customer levels. Whilst agile and customer focused, they will be a proven talent for delegating and coordinating.
Key objectives of the role will be planning, monitoring and reporting of progress and status at key milestones of the defined programme. The Programme Manager will have a proven track record in the ability to communicate and escalate effectively, be strong in team management and possess excellent coordination skills.

Manage a high performing team of individuals from various backgrounds within the business to deliver large scale high value programmes each consisting of several sub-projects.

Communicate regularly and effectively within the business ensuring all area managers are kept informed of the programme status, risks and success.

Provide best in class service to our customers representing PCI in all engagement including on-site project reviews and steering meetings.

Work closely with the Programme sponsor and cross functional teams to define the programme strategy, scope and objectives. Set milestone targets for the team to deliver upon.

Working cross-functionally, coordinate and evaluate resources assigned to ensure there is appropriate resource within each team and that tasks are appropriately delegated and tracked to completion.

Compile and manage project timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and critical paths are identified and monitored throughout their lifecycle.

Promote engagement at all levels and stages of the programme. Encourage individuals to contribute to the success of each project and illustrate benefits brought about.

Manage single or multiple budgets on behalf of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) Ireland and report regularly and effectively on the Capital Expenditure (CapEx) status and any benefits being realised of said expenditure.

Prioritise delivery for our PCI’s global client base with a focus on quality, Right First Time (RFT) and On Time in Full (OTIF).

Manage risks within the programme. Ensure risks are identified, evaluated and controlled through the programme lifecycle.

Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process as per company procedures and policies.

Report the programme overall health to the Ireland SLT with focus on programme goals, objectives and major concerns (escalation).

Identify opportunity for improvement throughout the programme lifecycle and seek to harmonise on large-scale projects with PCI Global sites on ways of working.

Display strong leadership to the various project teams from concept to handover. Lead by example in day-to-day project management.

Utilise toolkits provided by management to document and report on programme activity and progress.

Command respect and create a sense of community with the teams being managed.

Manage change at varying levels ensuring site procedures are followed and change controls are raised at the appropriate time with the relevant approvers engaged from the outset.

Create and sustain a working environment that promotes the PCI Values and Behaviours.

To undertake such tasks and to manage specific or ad hoc projects as and when required to meet department and business needs and within the scope of the job-holder’s capabilities.
Scope and Authority:

The Programme Manager is responsible for adhering to the company’s SOPs, Health & Safety, cGMP and other regulatory guidelines themselves and for team members and contractors under their control.

The Programme Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining capital project budgets as and where appropriate.

The Programme Manager has indirect people management responsibilities for their assigned project team members and ensuring that all deliverables are met individually and by the team.
It is a requirement of this role that on occasion the individual will be required to travel on company business. This may be vendor/supplier or customer based.
