Position: General Operative – Fixed Term

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Team Leader
Contract Duration: Fixed-term contract until Christmas 2026
Working Hours: Day Shift, 7:00am – 4:00pm
Role Purpose
The General Operative will support the efficient day-to-day operation of the Production Department on a fixed term basis until Christmas 2026.
The role will involve assisting with food production, packing, labelling, material handling and general production activities, while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, hygiene and health & safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the production, packing and labelling of food products.
- Operate production equipment and machinery in accordance with training and established procedures.
- Follow production instructions and maintain required quality standards.
- Report any quality, food safety, equipment or production issues to the Production Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies, procedures and instructions.
- Wear and maintain the required PPE at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily production requirements and targets.
- Assist with other production duties as required to support the smooth running of the department.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role as required by management.

Desirable:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.

Working Arrangements
- This is a day shift position, working from 7:00am to 4:00pm.
- The role may require overtime and flexibility depending on production requirements and business needs.
Contract Duration
This is a fixed-term position until Christmas 2026. The requirement for the role is temporary and is based on the business's operational needs during this period. Any continuation beyond the stated fixed-term period will be subject to business requirements and agreement by the Company.
Pay: €14.15 per hour
