Strength & Conditioning Coach / Personal Trainer in Castlebar
MD Performance & Therapy
Castlebar, Co. Mayo, Ireland
About Us
MD Performance & Therapy is a multidisciplinary service based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo providing strength & conditioning, personal training and physiotherapy. We work with youth and adult teams across a variety of sports, ranging from club to inter-county level, including but not limited to GAA, soccer, athletics and swimming. We also help adults training for performance, longevity, and everyday function. Every programme starts with the person's goal and works backward from there; individualised, evidence-based and adjusted as they progress, whether they're a county footballer or someone wanting to be able to play in the garden with their kids or grandkids. We're a coaching team that likes to understand the why behind what we do, and we look for the same in the people we hire.
The Position
This is a full-time, 40-hour role: 25–32 hours coaching, with the remainder for programming, session development, and leadership input as your role grows. You'll take ownership of programming for our youth and adult teams, run our private Youth Strength & Conditioning Programme, and coach 1-1 and semi-private clients across a wide range of goals, from first-time gym-goers to competitive athletes, all approached through the same individualised, reverse-engineered lens.
For the right candidate, this role will carry responsibility for the standard of coaching across our team. You'll formally mentor other coaches, review their programming, and help them improve over time, while setting and maintaining the coaching protocols and standards we work to as a business. Beyond that, there's further scope to shape the role around your own skills and interests, whether that's deepening your involvement in coach development or stretching into a broader leadership role in how the business grows, with your earning potential growing alongside it.
We're looking for someone who wants a career in this field and is ready to grow with us as we grow.
