Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9.30am to 6.00pm; Friday, 9.30am to 5.00pm

You will support secondary students with their learning, working alongside teachers to help students access the curriculum, stay on task and build confidence in their studies. After school supervision is a core part of this role, and you will be a steady, familiar presence for students from the start of the school day through to early evening.
You will get to know the students you support well, working closely with teaching staff to understand their needs and communicate any concerns. The role suits someone patient, organised and genuinely interested in helping young people succeed.
What you'll do
After school supervision and pastoral care
- Support secondary students in lessons under the direction of the class teacher
- Help students access learning materials, stay on task and build confidence
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Prepare and organise learning resources and materials
- Supervise students during after school hours as a core part of the role, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
- Support students with homework and independent study during supervised sessions
- Build positive, professional relationships with students
- Communicate any concerns promptly to teaching staff
- QQI Level 5 qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant area such as childcare, education or special needs assisting
- Fluent English, spoken and written
- Willingness to supervise students after school as a core part of the role
- A patient, reliable approach and a genuine interest in supporting young people's learning
- Spanish language skills
- Experience working with secondary age students
- Experience in an international school setting
- An onsite role within a supportive Secondary school team
- A varied day that combines classroom support with pastoral responsibility
- A salary paid over 12 months, even though the role is term time only
