Loinnir Brewing is looking for an experienced, motivated and commercially minded Front of House Manager to lead our front-of-house operation in Killarney.
This is a hands-on management role for someone who thrives in a busy, fast-paced hospitality environment and is confident taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the front of house.
The successful candidate will be responsible not only for delivering excellent service and leading the team, but also for staff scheduling, labour costs, stock control and maintaining healthy margins across the operation.
Previous management or supervisory experience in a high-volume bar and restaurant or similar hospitality environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the front-of-house team during busy services
- Maintain consistently high standards of customer service
- Prepare and manage weekly staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels while controlling labour costs
- Recruit, train, support and motivate front-of-house staff
- Monitor staff performance and help develop a strong, reliable team
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar and floor
- Manage opening and closing procedures
- Oversee cash handling, tills and end-of-day procedures
- Monitor stock levels, wastage and stock variances
- Assist with ordering, stocktakes and supplier management
- Monitor product costs, pricing and gross margins
- Work with management to control operating costs and achieve agreed margin targets
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary costs and increase profitability
- Deal professionally with customer queries and resolve issues when required
- Ensure health & safety, licensing and company procedures are followed
- Work closely with the owners and wider team to continually improve the business
What We’re Looking For
- Proven management experience in a busy hospitality environment – essential
- Experience preparing and managing staff rotas and labour costs
- Good understanding of stock control, cost management and gross margins
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how day-to-day decisions affect profitability
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident making decisions and solving problems during busy services
- Reliable, professional and willing to lead by example
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and peak periods
- An interest in craft beer and brewing is an advantage
