Bloom House is a new residential service for adults with intellectual disabilities, and we're building our team from the ground up.

About the role
As a Social Care Assistant, you will:
- Provide person-centred support with daily living and personal care.
- Support residents with activities, interests and community participation.
- Encourage independence, choice and dignity.
- Assist with meal preparation and maintaining a safe, clean and homely environment.
- Support residents in line with their individual support plans.
- Maintain accurate daily records and follow safeguarding and infection-control procedures.
- Work positively as part of a new, supportive team.
- Attend training, supervision and team meetings as required.
What we're looking for
- Caring, patient and respectful, with a genuine commitment to person-centred support.
- Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Confident communicating with residents, families and colleagues.
- Able to use their own initiative and respond positively to the needs of residents.
- Previous experience in social care, healthcare, disability or a residential setting is desirable.
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 Major Award in Health Service Skills or equivalent.
- Garda Vetting clearance.
- References.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland required.
- EU/EEA Citizenship or Stamp 4.
- Full Irish/EU driving licence desirable.
