Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise day-to-day operations of maintenance staff and external contractors.
- Allocate work schedules and monitor completion of tasks to agreed standards and timelines.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks across healthcare properties.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain records of completed works, inspections, incidents, and maintenance schedules.
Grounds & Outdoor Maintenance
- Oversee grass cutting, edging, and general lawn care.
- Coordinate weed control and seasonal grounds maintenance programmes.
- Supervise shrub, hedge, and flower planting activities.
- Ensure outdoor areas remain clean, safe, and visually presentable at all times.
- Arrange and monitor litter removal and external housekeeping duties.
Property Exterior Maintenance
- Coordinate fence repairs and minor external carpentry works.
- Supervise power washing of paths, patios, walls, and external surfaces.
- Oversee external window cleaning services, including facia/soffit cleaning etc.
- Manage outdoor painting and exterior property maintenance tasks.
- Identify and report larger repair requirements or safety hazards.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation.
- Carry out risk assessments and toolbox talks where required.
- Ensure safe use and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and chemicals.
- Monitor PPE usage and safe working practices.
- Ensure healthcare properties remain accessible and safe for vulnerable residents.
Communication & Reporting
- Liaise with property managers, healthcare staff, suppliers, and contractors.
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency call-outs when required.
- Assist in planning preventative maintenance schedules and seasonal works.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities management, landscaping, or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of outdoor property maintenance and groundskeeping.
- Experience supervising maintenance teams or contractors.
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures and risk management.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full clean driving licence preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare, residential care, or supported living environments is advantageous.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of horticulture or landscaping.
- Basic carpentry, fencing, or exterior repair experience.
- Manual handling, Safe Pass, or health & safety certifications.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple sites.

Pay: From €50,000.00 per year
