Limerick City and County Council is establishing a panel for Graduate Planner positions. These roles provide hands-on experience in Development Management, Planning Enforcement, and Forward Planning and Urban Development. Duties may include:
- To support the Development Management process including site visits, preparation of planning reports and recommendations, preparing recommendations on compliance with Planning Conditions, support pre-planning meetings and respond to planning queries;
- Support the work of the Forward Planning Team carrying out survey work, research and analysis, monitoring of objectives, drafting policies and proposals, preparing written statements and maps;
- Deal with enquires from the public and give advice on planning matters;
- Participate in public consultation events and prepare related materials;
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, agencies and the public;
- Maintain accurate records and incorporate IT/GIS into daily work;
- Support environmental assessments and surveys;
- Engage in CPD and contribute to team meetings and service improvements;
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Honours Degree (NFQ Level 8 or higher) in Planning.
QQI comparability statement required for non-Irish qualifications.
