Your new role
As Financial Accountant, you will join a high-performing finance team reporting directly to the Finance Director. This is a broad and commercially focused role where you will take ownership of key financial processes and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts

Production of regional and divisional P&L reports

Budget and prior-year variance analysis with clear commentary
-
Management of balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger control

Oversight of accruals, prepayments, and month-end close processes
-
Maintenance of the fixed asset register

Cashflow forecasting and funds management, including FX approvals

Preparation and submission of VAT, Intrastat, and VIES returns (ROI & UK)

Supporting payroll-related tax compliance (BIK, P11Ds, etc.)

Acting as the main point of contact for external auditors

Oversight of AP/AR functions and expense reporting

Supporting stock provisioning and operational reporting

Coordination of insurance policies and fleet/lease management
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
-
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar financial accounting role in the Irish market

Strong experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Intact IQ, SAP or similar)

Excellent analytical and commercial skills with attention to detail
-
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
-
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A relevant accounting or finance qualification - ACCA or similar - desired, or QBE with extensive industry experience
