Full Time Host for our South Bank Bar

Do you have experience as a Host, greeting, seating and managing bookings?
The Host is the first point of contact for guests in the hotels bar. This role is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and supporting the smooth operation of the front-of-house. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high volume 4* or 5* hotel or quality focused restaurant or bar, and will display the ability to manage table bookings to maximise numbers, with a strong commitment to quality, high standards, service and customer care.
Responsibilities will include:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly, attentive first impression.
- Manage the seating in order to optimize guest numbers and flow and turn over tables to minimize guest wait times.
- Maintain accurate waitlists and manage reservations using our booking system.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, or complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance area, and menus.
- Provide guests with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods.
- Support the team during peak hours by assisting with service or clearing tables if needed.
- Promote hotel events, special menus, or bar promotions when applicable.
- To Look after all of our guests to the highest standard and communicate Hotel services to them.
