ROSS Cx is hiring a BMS/EPMS Engineer to join a client side PMC team on a live hyperscale data centre project in Belgium.
You will monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) across the data halls, safeguarding environmental conditions and power quality while supporting commissioning and integration through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate the BMS and EPMS in real time to maintain strict environmental parameters (temperature, humidity) and power quality within the data halls.
- Conduct routine inspections, calibrations and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on critical facility equipment including CRAC/CRAH units, UPS systems, generators and HV/LV switchgear.
- Investigate and diagnose system faults, alarms and anomalies immediately, driving swift incident response to prevent downtime in a mission critical environment.
- Optimise energy efficiency and capacity planning across the data halls by analysing BMS and EPMS telemetry data and tuning control sequences for chillers, pumps and air handling units.
- Support the commissioning, testing and integration of new electrical and mechanical hardware, ensuring systems meet data centre tier standards and design intent.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, operational logs and incident reports, ensuring all maintenance activities align with site SLAs and health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven BMS and EPMS experience in a data centre or other mission critical environment.
- Working knowledge of major BMS/EPMS platforms (e.g. Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Tridium Niagara, ABB or similar).
- Strong working knowledge of critical facility equipment including CRAC/CRAH units, UPS systems, generators, chillers and HV/LV switchgear.
- Experienced in alarm response, fault diagnosis and incident reporting under SLA conditions.
- Familiar with control sequences, telemetry analysis and system tuning for mechanical and electrical plant.
- Exposure to commissioning and integration of new plant and systems is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of health and safety in a live critical environment.
- Must have the right to work in Belgium. Open to candidates across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
- Available for an immediate start and committed through to end of year
