We are seeking a part-time Solar PV Electrician to join our team for 2 to 3 days a week. Over 80% of the work is based in Dublin, focusing on the electrical side of domestic and commercial PV installations and maintenance. As the company grows, this role has the potential to transition into a full-time position.
We can accommodate this role on either a PAYE or subcontractor basis. It is well-suited for an electrician looking for part-time hours, someone starting their own business who wants regular contract work, or an individual interested in joining a startup with potential for profit-sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical side of domestic and commercial PV installations and energy upgrades.
- Act as the signing-off electrician on projects (QC); training can be provided if required.
- Install and connect inverters, isolators, cabling, consumer units, generation meters, and protection devices.
- Commission systems and ensure compliance with Safe Electric standards and Irish regulations (ET101).
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance and inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Collaborate with in-house surveyors, project managers, and installation crews.
