We are seeking a motivated and technically capable IT Support Analyst to join an internal IT team for a Galway based client.
The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team to support business users, configure and deploy new IT equipment, develop automation solutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and processes. This is an ideal role for a graduate with 1 year or more commercial Leve 1 support experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support to staff across multiple office and site locations.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 related issues.
- Respond to incidents and service requests through the IT ticketing system.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Support user account management, password resets, permissions, and on boarding activities.
- Assist with maintaining documentation, asset registers, and technical procedures.
- Work with third-party IT vendors and service providers when required.
- Assist with the administration of Windows servers, cloud services, and endpoint management platforms.
- Support Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives
- Support network infrastructure including switches, wireless systems, firewalls, and VPN connectivity.
- Participate in IT projects involving upgrades, cloud technologies, security enhancements, and business applications.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, Computing, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge or demonstrable experience in:
- PowerShell scripting (essential)
- Perl scripting (essential)
- Python or other modern scripting languages
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Active Directory
- Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
This role is 5 days on site with some travel to satellite offices / sites required form time to time.
