Key Responsibilities
- Parts Identification & Sourcing: Accurately identify, source, and supply commercial vehicle parts using electronic parts catalogues and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Workshop Support: Pre-pick parts for scheduled workshop jobs and CVRT repairs to minimize technician downtime.
- Customer & Trade Service: Handle customer and trade enquiries via counter, phone, and email, providing pricing, availability, and technical advice.
- Stock & Inventory Management: Receipt in incoming deliveries, verify stock accuracy against delivery notes, manage bin locations, and participate in regular cycle counts.
- Returns & Warranty: Process parts returns, old core units (surcharges), and warranty claims in line with manufacturer procedures.
- Lean & 5S: Maintain a clean, organized, and logically laid out parts department adhering to 5S visual standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Advisor in a commercial vehicle dealership, motor factor, or automotive/heavy machinery environment.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience using Dealer Management Systems (e.g., Assetminder, Keyloop, CDK, Autoview) and electronic parts catalogues is a strong advantage.
- Technical Understanding: Solid practical knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle (HGV/LCV), bus, or trailer components.
- Attributes: Highly organized, proactive, strong communication skills, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Licence: Full, clean Irish driving licence.
