Gravity is Ireland's leading asbestos removal contractor and one of its growing commercial roofing contractors, working on industrial sites across Ireland. We are hiring an Operations Coordinator for our Wexford office.
The Role
In every good contractor, there is one person everybody rings first. The foreman who has hit something unexpected. The supplier who can't make Thursday. The Client who wants to know what time we are on site. We are hiring that person.
This is not an admin job with a good title. You will decide which crew goes where, what moves when a site closes at short notice, and whether a job is read to go out at all. if it isn't, you stop it.
Before anyone leaves the Compound, you will have confirmed the paperwork is issued, the plant and materials are ordered, site access is agreed and accommodation is booked. When a job finished early, you are the person who fills the rest of the day.
On our large roof projects, you will move onto site as Site Clerk, supporting the site team with labour, plant, materials and paperwork.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and issuing the weekly crew schedule, a minimum of five working days ahead.
- Sending job details to every Operative - address, eircode, site contact, access, start time and scope.
- Checking every job is genuinely ready before it is scheduled: RAMS, notifications, permits, waste documentation and Analyst bookings.
- Give the compound at least 48 hours' notice of plant, trailers, equipment and consumables.
- Re-planning live throughout the day - backfilling early finishes, re-sequencing overruns, re-crewing for absence.
- Acting as Site Clerk on major roof shutdowns.
- Reporting weekly on planned versus actual hours and schedule adherence.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in coordination, scheduling, dispatch or operations administration.
- Construction, plant hire, transport, facilities and field services all transfer well.
- Seriously organised and accurate with detail.
- Confident on the phone - you'll call a foreman, supplier or client directly and come back with an answer.
- Calm when the plan changes at short notice, because it will change most days.
- Comfortable working in a job management or CRM system.
- Full driving licence, and willing to travel to and stay on site during major shutdowns.
- Available for approximately one weekend a month during major shutdowns.
Nice to have:
- Asbestos removal or commercial roofing experience.
- Wokring knowledge of RAMS, permits and waste documentation.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
How we treat our people:
Our crews are properly trained, properly equipped and properly looked after, on site and off it. We invest in tickets and certifications, we promote from within, and we back our foreman.
What we offer:
- €42,000.00 - €48,000.00 depending on experience.
- Real authority over the schedule - this isn't a role that waits for instructions.
- A clear route into Operations Manager as the business grows.
- Pension, vehicle or mileage, other benefits.
Pay: €42,000.00-€48,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
