We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established supermarket chain operating in Cork. They are looking to bring ambitious individuals into Trainee Manager roles. The store is located on a 20 mins drive from Cork City. Ideally, a candidate with a proven record of working in Junior Retail Management or Supervisor roles in a fast-paced environment will be a perfect fit for the job. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and robust candidate to drive the day-to-day business with responsibility and keep the team motivated as a team leader. Requirements for Retail Trainee Manager Job:
- Previous experience as Supervisor or Trainee Manager role in retail environment preferably grocery or fresh food.
- Has knowledge of HACCP customer service and wants to enhance their retail experience in a bigger store, other retail environments will be considered.
- Passion for grocery retail and working with the general public.
- Good organizational skills.
- Be able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
- Company is fair with the weekly rosters and pretty flexible with shifts but early mornings and late evenings are preferred.
Responsibilities for Retail Trainee Manager Job
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the store in the absence of senior management. Maintain high operational and merchandising standards at all times.
- Team Supervision & Development
- Awareness and basic financial acumen able to interpret figures, understand profit margins, and contribute to business growth.
- Customer service, enhancing customer experience through your training, resolving complaints, and training teams under you to obtain further knowledge in the industry.
- Ensuring the shop is maintained on high standards in all departments.
