- Operate the weighbridge system and related computer software.
- Weigh inbound and outbound vehicles accurately.
- Booking skips and dealing with commercial customers over the phone.
- Record vehicle details, load types, and weights.
- Issue weighbridge tickets, delivery notes, and invoices where required.
- Verify documentation and ensure compliance with site procedures.
- Communicate with drivers, site staff, and customers professionally.
- Maintain accurate daily records and reports.
- Monitor vehicle flow and coordinate site traffic safely.
- Report discrepancies, overloaded vehicles, or operational issues.
- Perform basic administrative duties including filing and data entry.
- Ensure the weighbridge area is kept clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in weighbridge operations, logistics, transport, or administration preferred.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Knowledge of transport documentation and compliance procedures is an advantage.
- Familiarity with weighbridge software systems preferred.
Education and Experience
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in logistics, waste management, quarry, construction, recycling, or transport industries beneficial.
