The Cybersecurity and ICT Risk team is responsible for all cybersecurity matters and operates in a cross-campus capacity within the University ICT Services Department.
Reporting to the Director of ICT & Digital Transformation, the Head of Cybersecurity & ICT Risk, will have extensive previous cybersecurity and risk management experience, hold industry certification e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CASP+, ISO or similar (would be beneficial) and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive security and ICT risk management strategy for the university. They will guide the development of security architecture, policies, and risk management processes, ensuring best practices, governance, compliance and managing emerging threats.
The role is crucial in minimising ICT risk and safeguarding the universities operational capabilities and organisational reputation. They provide guidance, implement and manage cybersecurity technologies, controls, ICT risk processes and ensure continued compliance to industry best practices, legal requirements and public sector standards.
